josh + april + baby

On Sunday evening, I met a very cool couple about to have their first baby! First of all, we have to talk about the nursery. It was just my style--very mod and unique. I just loved it. Someday, I will have a nursery that looks as cool as this one. Josh and April were awesome. They definitely knew how to rock the poses. April is such a cute pregnant person! They also DO NOT know if they are having a boy or girl (which explains my title to this blog entry above). You’ll see we captured some fun photos of them holding wooden letters spelling out BOTH names since we just don’t know if a little boy or a little girl is going to arrive. We started out the evening in and around their house, and then we headed down the street to a beautiful little area with water and a cool wooden bridge. I just really enjoyed my time with them. As always, I get so excited about the photos, that I come home immediately, burn all of my backup dvds, and then get to work on color correcting immediately. I think they turned out so sweet. Josh and April, I hope they are what you were looking for! Oh, I must mention that Jen and Drew (7 blog posts back) are related to Josh and April. Yes, Jen is pregnant too, so TWO babies coming soon in ONE family! Wow, there’s a lot going on with the Tooley family! Congrats and best wishes. Enjoy your slideshow.

erin + reid | married

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of spending the day with Erin and Reid. They are so cute and so in love. What I loved about my time with them was that they were both so laid back and excited to get married. You would not have known that they had to push their date WAY up and pull all of the details together in just a few weeks, judging by the way the day turned out. Let me tell you though...it was extremely hot outside, and the entire wedding party and all of the family members were troopers when it came to picture time. We had a beautiful blue sky with white fluffy clouds for pics--we couldn’t have asked for a prettier day. On Sunday, Erin and Reid moved to Chicago, so I hope that you guys are enjoying the windy city and are getting settled in your new place. I wish you both the best! Little Miss Claire is about to turn 1 year old! So, last weekend, we had a full-blown shoot to celebrate the 348 days she’s been alive! Her birthday bash is going to be in two weekends from now, so we needed pictures to have at the party. From the funny faces you’ll see in her pictures, you can tell that she’s becoming quite animated and independent. Now that she has discovered how to scoot around on all fours, she pretty much gets where she wants to go. She also loves her new wagon that mommy and daddy got her for her early-birthday present. Her K9 brother, Boris, continues to be a good boy and pose for our photo shoots! I hope you enjoy the pics, and Miss Claire...good job workin’ the camera.

I had such a fun shoot on Saturday with the Steffen’s. I had the pleasure of meeting Adam, Carrie and Owen back in December when I took Owen’s 3 month old shots. This is one of the coolest things about taking kids’ pictures is that I get to see them a lot, yet they grow and change so fast! A lot has changed about Owen, but he is still as happy and loving as always. Owen and Rocky (the dog) were working the camera on Saturday. Check out his big smile and bright blue eyes in the shots. I don’t know how you could not fall in love with him! Thanks so much for letting me capture Owen’s childhood. It is truly an honor. Sit back and enjoy your slideshow!

the duros fam

Talk about cute kids!...Well, I believe that you’re in for a real treat here, folks! Halle, Grant and Jenna are all american kids. You’ll see here that they all look alike, but their personalities are very different. Halle is sweet and girlie, Grant is a tough guy, and Jenna is pretty much happy as long as someone is around her. We started the shoot out a little more formal with the dressy clothes and all. Then you’ll see that the kiddos slipped into something a little more comfy. This is when they really came out of their shells! I just love their pics because their outfits were so bright and colorful. Erin and Allen, you have three beautiful kids.
