Simon and I got to keep Claire Bear on Friday night! It was the first time that she had stayed all night at our house. So as you might have figured, I tried to spoil her as much as I could in the short amount of time that we had her. We spent Friday night at Chuck E. Cheese's, and then Saturday we went to Starbucks, Wally World, Target, and then back home to watch Shrek. The time really went too fast, so we are going to have to do it again soon. For those family members that live out of state and don't get to see Claire all that often, let me tell you that this girl likes to talk. The funniest things come out of her mouth:) But be careful what you say, because she'll repeat everything you say!
Sbux was fun. Claire had organic apple juice and a blueberry muffin. We sat in the big comfy chairs right by the doors, and Claire was acting goofy as she greeted everyone that came and went. We sang a little E-I-E-I-O and she "shook her booty"--one of her favorite things to do! Simon, meanwhile, was laughing so hard at us as the Sbux visitors continued to be amused by the free show.
Here are just a few of the hundreds of photos I took of her during her stay...
LOVE this one of her. I'm going to get a big print made for my desk here at home!
SO stinkin' cute!
Claire's signature pigtails...

Of all the toys at Wally World, she picked Curious George. As you can see, she's taking good care of him:)
...continuing to watch over her little one!

She thought she needed to get a little closer to Shrek...
She did a little booty shaking at home too...
Love her!
So, after all of this, I met Jess and Brian to drop Claire off. Then, I met Tara and Meg for our longest training run so far...18 MILES....AHHHHHHHH! That's why you haven't heard from me until late tonight. I was a LITTLE worn out today. All better now though!

wedding.album.sample!
I just got my new wedding album sample in, and I just had to share it with you. It is a big album! This is a black leather cover, sized at 12"x12 with 25 pages (or 50 sides)." The albums I offer are considered "flush mount albums" because the images are printed directly onto the pages. Each page is really thick and rigid to make for one sturdy book! After your wedding and all of the color correcting is done, I put together an initial album layout for you to look at. Each page is a custom design based on your style, your taste, your shots, your wedding details, etc. It's completely custom and tells the entire story of your special day! Check it out:)

You have to see this in person! I love to design photos that span across the spread of the book. Think about it...when the album is completely opened, the image is 24" across by 12" high--that's HUGE!

Click on the thumbnail images below to see more photos. If you are interested, I'd love to meet with you for a wedding consultation!

my.girlies!
Here are my two favorite nieces in the world! They are growing so fast...especially Lyza! Claire talks ALL OF THE TIME. It is amazing what she says and what she remembers. No longer are the days where you can bribe her with something, like "Claire, smile for the camera and then you'll get a popsicle when we get home." All I have to say is you had better have a popsicle in the freezer, because she does NOT forget! Claire is also in gymnastics now. She goes to class every Saturday and it last for a half hour. She can do the butterfly, the straddles, the pike, and put her hands up and say "TA-DA!!" Lyza pretty much just chills. She likes to be held and be a part of your conversation. She feels left out if you leave her laying on the floor while you're at the table talking. She also smiles a lot now! I happened to catch a smile in fact. Check out the first picture below...

Claire is supposed to be staying at our house all night on Friday, so the evening will be fully documented, I promise. Lots of pictures to come from our sleepover!

grayson | 6.months!
Sorry for the tease earlier in the week, but Grayson is just so cute the I had to share a few shots with you. I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites, as you'll see below. Angela had her dressed in fun, bright clothes. I love a lot of color because it adds so much to the shots! I have known Angela and Marty now for about 2 or 3 years, and they are such fun, great people. They have a beautiful new house, which was a great place for photos because of all of the natural light.
You may remember the little cutie, Macy, that I shot in Chicago before Christmas. Well, Grayson and Macy are tight!! (Actually, their parents are friends, but someday when they're older they'll be best friends!)
Alright, onto the good stuff...
Look how fun and bright everything is!!!

Love her big smile:)!!!

peek-a-boo!

She is standing on her own here. She will be walking before long! In fact, for the very first time, according to Angela and Marty, Gray actually stood up without holding onto anything for a few seconds while I was taking her pictures. She surprised us AND herself, I think!!

She's really into her book:)

LOVE her pretty eyes!

I think this is so sweet. Gray loves her daddy:)
What a good lookin' family!

You know me...I love baby feet!
she LOVES her jump-a-roo

Thanks so much for having me, guys. I hope you enjoy your show!
(I don't know about you, but I LOVE the song that Apple uses in their new spot for the MacBook Air. I can't get it out of my head. I decided to use it for Gray's slideshow...now see if YOU can get it out of your head after listening/watching the show. In case you're wondering, the artist's name is Yael Naim and it's called "New Soul." Don't forget you can always put your mouse over the music note below the slideshow to see the music credits).

little.tease!
I have been busy trying to figure out how to be an accountant so I can turn in my business year-end numbers to my REAL accountant. I never paid attention in Business Accounting 201 at Miami University, and now I sort of wish I had! In any case, I bought Quickbooks, and it's amazingly smart and doesn't really need for me to know how to figure assets & liabilities/profits & losses, etc, etc!!! I LOVE it!
I needed a break from the number crunching, and I have been excited to work on editing a job I shot this past weekend, so I decided to take a timeout. I've never done this before, but I just had to show you 3 sneak peeks since they're not all finished yet. I love the colors! Isn't Grayson a DOLL? And how about her name--so adorable (they call her "Gray" for short). Angela & Marty have great taste. Ok, this is all you get for now. I'll have the whole shibang in a couple of days!!:)
her cute, little, chubby legs--and they were MOVING in this jump-a-roo thingy!! ha.
