A HUGE congratulations goes out to my cousin, Justin, and his wife, Ashleigh. They just welcomed Lochlan Sloan into the world! I cannot wait to meet him! Guys, you better call me when you're in town for Lochlan's first photo shoot!!! But until then, you'll have to settle for pictures I posted last month from their baby shower...

isaac | 5 months
We didn't let the snow ruin our plans for Isaac's 5 month shoot today! He is getting to be such a big boy. He can ALMOST sit up on his own, but he's a pro in the bumbo chair! Before we know it Isaac will be crawling and then walking, and Jason and Julie will be chasing him around like crazy!
Today we did most of the shots indoors, but braved the cold for a few snowy shots. Check 'em out below.
Could this kid be ANY cuter? I doubt he gets anything for Christmas (yea right)!!

Cute one of Julie and Isaac!
Check out his chucks! Yep, they're Chuck Taylor's, and they're only a size 2!!! How adorable.

So serious...
Cute little hands...
Don't you just want to pinch his little cheeks?!

LOVE the hair:)

(tummy time)

I wanted to show you his bedroom. Isn't it cool?!

Julie and Jason, he's the cutest! Have a Merry Christmas!

the.nicholson's+haacker's+paulson's!
This family was GREAT! Andrea contacted me back in October to get this shoot setup, and she wanted to have her family, her sister's family and their parents all together for pictures. It was really cold outside, so we did most of the shots indoors but DID brave the cold for several shots outside. The 3 kids are so cute! Let me introduce you to everyone below...
From L to R: Brett, Wyatt, Amy, Adeline, Gary, Linda, Andrea, Mason & Braden

Isn't Wyatt just the CUTEST THING?!?!
Wyatt's older sister, Adeline, is just a DOLL!
I love this shot of Andrea & Mason:)
Mason + Rudolph!

This shot makes me laugh so hard! I've taken several photos of kids with books. For some odd reason, I always snap a shot while the kids are holding the books upside down!

Andrea and Braden, thanks so much for coordinating this! Gary and Linda, thanks for opening up your house! Brett and Amy, thanks for making the long drive early in the morning! You guys were great to work with. I hope you enjoy your slideshow! (I couldn't resist using the theme song from my all-time favorite movie, "Christmas Vacation." Do you guys LOVE this song too? Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit more than watching this movie and hearing the opening song!!!)

our.house!
Simon and I recently bought some new furniture for our downstairs, and I just love it! We used to NEVER sit downstairs and hang out unless we were watching football on Sundays since this is where the "football tv" is (Yes, Simon was one of those guys that had to go out and get an LCD High-Def blah blah blah at the start of this year's NFL season). Now with the new furniture, we've been down here every night. AND, Jamie Sangar Photography just bought me a new 17" MacBook Pro laptop, so now I can edit photos and blog from the comfort of my new chair!!! Even though it's really cold out tonight, I have to admit that I LOVE this time of the year as Christmas and New Year's near. I love the way our house feels right now with lights up and the tree decorated. I thought I'd share a few photos of our Christmas tree and new furniture.
Here's a night time shot of our tree!
...and here's a daytime shot:

Yes, you are correct. Those are musical instruments that you see as our tree ornaments. For those of you that do not know, Simon is a drummer. He found these ornaments a couple of years ago at Restoration Hardware, so we alternate every other year using the music ornaments. For you musicians out there, you'll appreciate our tree topper--a GUITAR! ha. I think it looks cool:)
Here's a guitar ornament...
And here's a turntable ornament...
Here is our new couch and chair. We are missing one more piece of furniture that still has not arrived yet. Instead of the glass coffee table you see, we are waiting on our new brown leather ottoman to arrive. It's one of those really long ottomans that's the length of the couch. I cannot WAIT to put my feet up on it when it arrives!
(Here's a shot I stole from Crate and Barrel's website to show you the ottoman we are waiting on. I hope it comes soon!!!)

The stockings--Simon's on the left, Peyton's in the middle and mine on the right. Every single night, Peyton jumps up on the hearth and stands on her back legs to sniff her stocking. There's nothing in it...she just remembers that last year there were bones and treats in it. One of these nights, I'm going to have my camera ready when she does it so I can share with you. It is so cute!
This tree is fake--but cool.
Here's the princess enjoying her new couch. She really likes the new pillows that go on the couch. I don't think Crate and Barrel thought these were pillows that DOGS should be laying their heads on:)

Just a cool flower that I bought. It's a hydrangea:)
That's all for the random photos tonight! I have another family shoot to work on from last weekend! Good night!

leila.&.dayne!
Leila was quite the hit on this blog the last time I took her photos. So many people commented to me how cute Miss Leila was. This time around, I got to meet her handsome little brother, Dayne! He was equally as cute and such a good kid. These were just taken on Saturday, so those of you that live around here know that it was super cold outside. I promised Jennifer that I'd snap quickly. The kids were such perfect angels that it wasn't hard work at all getting good photos of them in a short amount of time. I think we were only outside for about 10-15 minutes. We decided to take a few shots inside as well. Check out the speedy shoot that we had:)
Meet Jennifer, Ryan, Leila & Dayne:)

She looks like a little baby doll. I just love her!
Here's Dayne's macho pose...

Thank you so much Ryan and Jennifer! I love your kids. I hope you enjoy your slideshow!
