indy.500!

This is my 4th year in a row to go to the Indy 500, and I love going to the race. For years, I thought that I had no interest in racing. I didn't understand the strategy, I didn't understand the business behind racing, I didn't know the drivers, I didn't understand the excitement...basically, I didn't give racing a chance until 2005. That year was my first year, and we have gone ever since. We always sit in the same area, just across from the pits, between the start.finish line and the first turn. I love sitting here because we can see all of the pre-race festivities and ALL of the pit action. Our seats this year were in the front row just across from Tomas Scheckter's/Vitor Meira's/Danica Patrick's pits. Yesterday we had beautiful weather for the race. I took several photos with my little camera (so the quality isn't the best), but I tried to get as many photos of the drivers as possible.

One of the coolest things were the fighter jets that perfectly timed-out their flight with the National Anthem. They calculate their timing so that they fly over the start/finish line at the end of the National Anthem!
