josh + nikki | engaged!

I had such an amazing shoot with Josh & Nikki last week. It was smokin' hot outside, so we tried to work rather quickly. They chose to shoot at Josh's parents' house, and WOW...it was gorgeous inside and out. I happen to LOVE doing yard work and landscaping, so I completely appreciate the hard work that Josh's parents have obviously dedicated themselves to with their yard. I wish our yard looked like theirs!

Josh & Nikki are busily planning their April '09 wedding, and I cannot wait to see the all of the details that they are pulling together. It will be at Fort Ben and I love the colonial architecture there. I didn't have to do much directing at the shoot when it came to how to position themselves. They were very natural and looked each other in the eye which makes for GREAT shots. I had a fun time. Here are my favorites from our time together...

My absolute favorite from the shoot...

See what I mean with the landscaping??!!

This one is a very close second on my favorites list:)

Josh & Nikki are too cute!

We also opted for some indoor photos to cool off a bit!

I have to give all of the credit to Nikki & Josh for this shot. They had a vision in mind for how they wanted to pose, and also the angle that I should shoot from. I happen to LOVE it!

I dig the reflection in the countertop!

And checkout Nikki's ROCK! It is so gorgeous and Josh picked it out all himself.

Thanks so much guys. It was great working with you two, and I am really looking forward to your big day. I hope you enjoy your slideshow! To view ALL of their images or to purchase photos, click here! (Just before I left, Nikki asked, "What song are you going to use for our slideshow?" Honestly, I didn't know. I typically just pick as I'm putting it together, however, since she asked, I felt a lot of pressure to pick a GREAT song. After a bit of contemplation, I figured I couldn't go wrong with this one. Some might call it the greatest song of all time. Whether or not you believe that, it is a timeless and beautiful song. I hope you like!)
