lydia

What more can I say...Lydia is a doll! She’s got the coolest hairdo I have ever seen on a baby. I was so excited to get to see Lydia for the first time. Lydia is 12 weeks old, and was in Pendleton visiting g-ma and g-pa all the way from Canada. We were sad that Lydia’s daddy, Mike, was not in town to have his pictures taken too, but you’ll see a very special surprise that Lydia and Andrea had for him (her onsie said “I Love Daddy”). She looked adorable in it! She was a trooper. In her slideshow, you’ll see that she was working the camera--blowing bubbles and curling up her bottom lip. Even though we don’t like it when she cries, she was so cute doing it!! Lydia, Andrea and Mike, I hope you like your photos. I can’t wait to see her again!

new albums!

I am so excited to share my new album with you! This is a very high-end, flush mount leather album that will most often be used for wedding albums. They come in a variety of colors and sizes. The pages are thick and sturdy, and I love how I can design the pages so that one image spans the entire spread of the album! You can choose to imprint on both the front and the back of the albums as well. So for a weddings, I put the bride and groom’s names on the front, and then the date of the wedding can go on the front as well, or be placed in the back. In addition to using these albums for weddings, I love to use them as your wedding guest book. I take the photos from your engagement session, and layout the photos so that there is white space on the edges of the pages for your guests to sign. These look killer, and it’s great to do your guest book in one color, and your wedding album in another. For example, I love doing an 8x8 black guest book paired with a white 12x12 wedding albums. What ELSE could you want to go on your coffee table?! You can’t go wrong with this album, ladies! Check back soon for more product updates!

(colors come in: black, camel, dark brown, ivory, white, light brown, burgundy, red, navy, sage, olive, or brushed metal)

NFL #1 draft pick

For those of you who don’t know me...well, this is a little hard to explain. You see, we have a shihtzu named Peyton (yes, we named her after Peyton Manning), and the dog is CRAZY about football. No joke! Since Simon didn’t get the manly dog that he wanted, he thought he’d be ok with the idea of owning a shihtzu if we named her “Peyton” and she liked football. Boy, he had no idea what he was setting us up for. At night when we’re both on our laptops or working around the house, she will strategically place the football in your hand, on your foot, or in your lap. If you aren’t paying attention to her, she’ll bark to let you know that she has given you the football and that it needs to be thrown. Sounds cute, right? Well, the cuteness has worn off--it’s now a full blown addiction. Tonight we had a little scrimmage in the backyard that I want you all to see. We just had to pick our seats in the new Lucas Oil Stadium last night for the Colts ’08-’09 season, so we’re getting excited for football season to roll around. After watching the slideshow, you make the call...will the #1 draft pick be JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, or Peyton Sangar?!

aaron the birthday man!

Oh my goodness. Watch out, ladies! Indy’s newest one-year-old hit the city streets this past weekend. Aaron had his first birthday party on Saturday, and then hung in there for a photo shoot on Sunday. What a trooper! He is a busy little man full of energy and smiles (this kid’s been walking since he was 10 months old--can you believe that?!) Aaron was a great baby, and his parents were a pleasure to meet. Oh, by the way, it was his mom’s birthday on Sunday. Happy birthday, Nicole! When I got home and started working on these photos, I was cracking up because in a lot of the shots, you can see Nicole or Michael in the background on-guard to catch Aaron with his next step. He is so fast! Little Aaron is such a cutie, and I am honored to have gotten to take his pictures for his very first birthday. Thanks, guys, and I hope you love your photos as much as I do! Enjoy your slideshow.

empty house party

Simon and I had so much fun tonight with our friends. Our pal, Noah, just bought a schmancy house in geist. He actually hasn’t moved his stuff into the house yet, so he literally had an empty house party at his place tonight! You’ll notice in the background of the photos that he went out and bought some lovely plastic lawn furniture to put in the living room. As a housewarming gift, we bought him some cool wooden bowls that he will probably never use, but they will at least start to fill up his empty kitchen cabinets! In fact, he already found the perfect spot for them (you’ll see that he neatly placed them in the corner cabinet display). Noah, your house rocks, and I can’t wait to help you decorate. In honor of you, I chose the Pointer Sisters “Jump For My Love” for your slideshow song.

Before the party we got have dinner with our friends Angela and Marty at Bella Vita. We got to catch up on everything that’s happened in our lives since we last hung out. Angela is pregnant with little Grayson Olivia, so we are excited for them and the new one that they are preparing to bring into the world! We wish you all the best at this exciting point in your lives.

easter with the families

Sadly, there were no Easter egg hunts today because it was so cold, but that did not make Easter with the families any less special. We started the day out in Pendleton with my side of the family. My mom dug our old McDonald’s play kitchen out of the attic that we played with all of the time when we were little. Halle and Grant had a blast with it today. They served me some delicious plastic chicken nuggets, and they served Simon a plastic salad; Ummmm! The babies, Jenna and Claire, didn’t lack any attention today either. We later headed to Simon’s side of the family. It was great to see all of the aunts, uncles and cousins. Unfortunately, we missed the two new babies on that side of the family, but we hope to see Neela and Lily in the next couple of weeks. We had a fun time, and we hope to see everyone again soon!

bill + kathleen | wedding shower

Today we got to celebrate our dear friends’ engagement and very near wedding. Bill and Kathleen are getting married on April 26th in Charleston, South Carolina. The wedding shower today was at a Becky and Dereck’s lovely home near Eagle Creek Park. We spent the afternoon eating and mingling with friends and family. Each couple had to bring a picture of their family and a favorite recipe to add to Bill and Kathleen’s collection. (Honestly, I don’t cook much, so I gave them a quick and easy spinach and artichoke dip recipe--you can never go wrong with that one!) We wish Bill and Kathleen all the best, and we can’t wait to see pictures from the wedding! Congrats! I hope you like your slideshow!

ryan + lindsey | married

Over the weekend, we traveled down to Kentucky for Ryan and Lindsey’s wedding. It was in the small town of Sebree, Kentucky. It was a BEAUTIFUL little town that had lots of green rolling hills. Ryan and Lindsey are great for each other! They laugh a lot, and care a lot about their friends and families. They also both have great parents that put on a fabulous event for us all to enjoy! Ryan and I are cousins, and we pretty much grew up together. At a very young age, my dad gave him the nickname of “RyRy,” so I’m afraid you will never grow out of that one, Ryan!! I hope you both are having an awesome time on your honeymoon, and I wish you a safe trip home. Congratulations you two. And Lindsey, welcome to the family!

ravens @ victory field

It was a perfect night for baseball at Victory Field! My cousin, Brad Schnepp, plays for the Ravens, and they got the opportunity to play at Victory Field against Rose-Hulman. It was so fun watching Brad and the Ravens play. Bradley pitched the final innings of the game, and did a great job of boosting the team’s confidence. He also did a superb job of keeping the Rose-Hulman hitters off balance. Even though AU fell to the guys from Rose-Hullman, they finished the game with consistent fielding, accurate pitching, and consecutive hits. Good luck on the remainder of your season, boys! I hope you enjoy the photos. If you are interested in purchasing photos, simply click here and type “Anderson University Ravens Baseball” to search for the event through Pictage.
