family

My family already knows this about me, but I’m always late, and running about a week behind! Hence, I’m just now getting around to the big events that went on last weekend. Last Saturday was our second annual Pound the Pavement Run/Walk in Pendleton in memory of my dad. You can read more about our mission and event by checking out our website. The race was great! The whole family was in town to help out! It’s so rewarding to see so many people (and canines:) participate so that we can raise money to award to a high school senior each Spring. Thank you family and friends for donating an entire weekend of your lives to help us out! We love you all!

The day after the race, we were so lucky to get to spend time with the other side of my family. Simon’s cousin, Shelly, was in town from Houston, so Tony (one of Simon’s other cousins) invited us over for dinner. It was an extra special treat because we got to see little Lilly, Tony and Anita’s little baby girl. Lilly is almost 8 months old, and I know this because Lilly and I share the exact same birthday! She rocks. Lilly is such a happy baby, and obviously beautiful with her dark hair and dark eyes! Thanks, Tony and Anita, for having us over. It was a blast hanging out with you guys and Shelly. Oh yeah, and I cannot forget to thank Auntie Ruth for the delicious meal! I’m lucky to have such great family all around!

A couple of notes:
-the doggie featured below is miss tess sporting her pound the pavement doggie bandana
-lilly’s mom is anita who has the shoulder length hair
-cousin shelly has the cool round pink earrings)!

the krahulik's

Well, you already got a glimpse of these two little beauties in last night’s slideshow. Cassidy and Claire were great last Sunday morning. Cassidy has a lot of cute facial expressions, and little Claire is Miss Independent. She wanted to walk on her own the entire time, which is fine, that just meant that I should have worn my running shoes to chase her around! Angela and Sam, you have smart, funny and amazing little girls. I hope you enjoy your photos!

hummel's & krahulik's

Remember the cuties I just posted last night? Well, wait ‘til you see this. Alicia, Chris and I had originally scheduled their crew for last Sunday, and then about a week before that I got a call from her sister, Angela, asking if I minded that I take pictures of both of their families together. Of course I didn’t mind! We also did an entire shoot with Angela and Sam’s little ones, Cassidy and Claire, and those are coming next so stay tuned. This is the most beautiful family. You know, it’s tough getting everyone to look at the camera at once, but I think that the candidness and expressions that you will see accurately represent this families’ joy with one another. You can also tell that Andrew and Cassidy are best buds. In fact, I had NO idea that I would find some hysterical expressions on their faces during some of the big group shots. I didn’t know until I was working on color correcting these images! You’ll notice that on some of these shots, I cropped in just to these two so you can see what I’m talking about! I really enjoyed my time with this bunch. Alicia, Chris, Angela and Sam...you have beautiful children. I hope you enjoy your slideshow!

the hummel's

I met the most wonderful family last Sunday. We have had their shoot scheduled now for quite some time, so it was great to finally meet them. Alicia and Chris have the most adorable little boys. Andrew and Alec were great. They are all-american boys and have the biggest brown eyes; long eyelashes and all! I can already picture them being the boys in school that girls drool over...so handsome!

Then, I was lucky enough to have Alicia’s sister call me the week before to see if her family could get in on the action. I cannot wait to show you their pictures too. We shot them right after the Hummel clan at the IMA.

Alicia and Chris, thanks for allowing me to hang out with your crew last weekend. I had a blast. I hope you enjoy your slideshow!

little maddy

Oh my goodness. Can we talk for a minute about Maddy?! She is such a cutie. I met Maddy and her family at her grandma’s house for some shots on Saturday afternoon. Maddy loves it there, and grandma has beautiful landscaping (thanks, grandma, for letting us use your place)! Very colorful. Maddy is such a smart little lady. Not only does she make the funniest faces (you’ll see what I mean), but she’s also very independent. I just sat back and let her run the show. I probably looked like a paparazzi following her around the yard. My favorite thing about Maddy is that she’s not afraid to get dirty (I think I was like that when I was little). She decided she wanted to grab her shovel, and start playing in the big pile of dirt that was in the yard. What I also love is that her mom and dad, Chasey and Tim, didn’t mind at all. I think that’s great when people let their kids be kids! I just love all of Maddy expressions in these shots. I hope you enjoy your slideshow!

amber + jason | engaged

What a great couple! Amber and Jason are set to be married in november, and I got to spend Thursday evening with them downtown for their engagement shoot. They are such nice people and so in love each other. I wasn’t sure if I’d have to coach ‘em along as we shot, but there ended up being no need for that! They were so natural in front of the camera, but I guess that’s what you get when two people are in love and meant for each other. That clearly is the case here, folks! They are getting married in a park in southern indiana in early november, and I’m sure it will be a beautiful wedding with this beautiful couple. Good luck amber & jason. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to shoot for you. Enjoy your slideshow!
