home.stretch!

Only 21 days until the Boston Marathon! I am getting so excited! I got my participant packet in the mail on Friday, and then me and the girls did our longest run of our training on Saturday morning. The run went really well. We started at Eagle Creek Park, ran to Zionsville, and back to make 22 miles. It was a hilly route to try to prepare us for the hilly Boston course. My Nike+ is a little off...it says we ran over 23 miles, but we actually only ran 22, so the pace is a little off too. In any case, if I can run like I did on Saturday I will be really happy! So from here on out, the next 21 days taper down on the mileage. If any of you are interested and get bored at work, you'll actually be able to track me on Monday April 21st while I'm racing (the race starts at 10am). You'll just have to go to www.bostonmarathon.com and type in either my last name (Sangar), or my bib number (11026). It will give you my progress every 5 kilometers! I did it once and it's really cool, so hopefully you can check it out!

Isn't Peyton so cute? Whenever I take shots at home, she ALWAYS lays downright in my way. I love it though:)

Checkout the course. This is a very rare course where shuttles drop you off 26.2 miles from the finish line, and you run ALL THE WAY BACK! (Typically you start and finish in the same area so you're running a big loop...NOT BOSTON THOUGH!!!)

I love the Boston Marathon logo:)

meet.simone | easter

First of all, I can't get over how stinkin' cute her name is!!! And to top it off, Simone is such a cute baby! This girl was totally decked out--I think Quatrel must have bought the entire baby section at Nordstrom. I happened to be there this past week, and saw Simone's entire Easter shoot wardrobe. Good taste...I love Nordstrom too! This kid smiled so much for me. Quatrel, I hope you are surprised! (She emailed me this week because she couldn't wait to see the results, but she thought Simone was a little cranky). No way!!! I got so many smiles:) But I have to give credit to grandma and grandpa who were there to help out, dance behind me to get her attention, shake her rattles--whatever it took! Without further ado, let me introduce you to Simone...

See I wasn't lying. How cute is she???!!!

Cute family shot!

Look at this little supermodel:)

Here's the adorable Easter dress!

I'm not sure she even knew these were on her! If so, she didn't mind at all! I love it!

It's a toss up, but this may be my favorite shot of the day!

I think she was flexing her toes for the camera. ha!

Despite it being about 20 or 30 degrees out, Simone was sporting her bikini:)

Here are grandma and grandpa! Thanks for your help during the shoot!

Thank you so much for having me over! You two have such a great little baby! I can't wait to see her next month for her 6 month shoot, in July for her 9 month shoot, and October for her birthday shoot!!! Enjoy your slideshow!

funny:)!

I think it's funny that we had nice weather yesterday, and a flood of people started emailing me to book their Spring portrait/engagement sessions! It's like, we finally got excited about having normal Spring weather, we started thinking about bright colors and flowers, we started thinking about spending time outdoors, we started thinking about doing something about our pale skin, we started thinking about fertilizing our yards, we started thinking "we should fire up the grill"...and then there was TODAY. Blah! Cold and rainy. I wish it would just go away! Anyways, give me a shout if you're ready to book your April/May/June sessions! I am getting so excited for outdoor-picture-time to roll around!

all.you.need.is.LOVE

Last week, I told you that the coolest thing that we did in Vegas was going to see the show LOVE at the Mirage. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, LOVE is a Circqu Du Soleil show performed to the original music of the Beatles. It was by far THE best show I have ever seen. I had read so many raves about the show, and we got to witness it first-hand...in the SECOND ROW, thanks to Jamie Sangar Photography:) If you have plans to go to Vegas, THIS IS A MUST SEE! Trust me!

Here are some shots (just taken with my little point and shoot, so please don't judge my photographic talents with these! ha!). The entrance was totally decked out from floor to ceiling in psychedelic Beatles stuff. It was so cool. It made you feel like you were a rock star with a glowing floor and round mirrors covering the ceiling!

I tried to sneak and take short clips with my camera to show you what it was like in the theatre. This DOES NOT do it justice, but you can at least see the awesome costumes and the amazing performers dangling from the ceiling--most of the time not even harnessed in! Enjoy!

ATTENTION.brides | engagement.guestbook!

Hey you brides out there. Check this out! What better use for your engagement photos than having a custom book printed to use as your guestbook at the wedding! I bought a traditional guestbook for my wedding, and it's so silly. I don't know why I even bought one. It is somewhere stashed away in a messy closet, and I have NEVER looked at it. This guestbook is something that you'll want to leave sitting out on your coffee table for years after your wedding. This book is the same thing as the coffee table book that I offer, the only difference is the way that I design the layout. On most spreads, I left white space along the edges for the guests to sign. Checkout the images. Email me if you are interested in one!

cj.&.jennie | married!

What an amazing and good looking couple! I had such a blast shooting jennie & cj's wedding! I was with them the entire day, and it just felt like I was hanging out with old friends, which makes my job really easy:) They got married at the lovely Market Tower which was also the site of their reception. The space was dark and intimate, and the room filled with candlelight just as the sun went down and the ceremony started. You brides out there have to check this place out! For a March wedding, we had fabulous weather, and that allowed us to be outside for a lot of the photos. I don't even know where to begin, so I'm just going to walk you through cj & jennie's photos...

It all started like this. We hung out in an awesome room at the Sheraton downtown overlooking Monument Circle. I especially love this photo because of the cloud of hairspray that hovers over Jennie's head! That hair wasn't going anywhere!

Kyle did an awesome job on Jennie's makeup as she talks to her dad on the phone!:)

concentration...

I absolutely love the style of this shot.

This just makes me smile. CJ's mom arrived during prep-time, and I happened to catch this cute moment as they're all laughing!

Fun details...

Checkout the hardware:)

Getting the dress on without messing up the hair or the makeup is a four person job. All went smoothly!

Another fancy little detail...

Love Jennie's smile here as her hair gets touched up:

Great work on the hair

Absolutely stunning...

Are you kidding me?!?! Jennie looks so good!

And here is the handsome groom, CJ, rockin' his GQ pose!

Love it!!!! You guys make a great looking couple:)

Just being silly!

This bunch was stopping traffic left and right!

We happened to run into Jennie's dad on our way back in. This was his first glimpse at his little beauty. Isn't this so sweet?!

I love any and all forms of potatoes. I could eat mashed potatoes for an entire meal! So you can imagine how stoked I was to find out that there was a potato bar at the reception. I had never seen anything like this before, but you get a bowl of taters, and then you top it with the fixin' of your choice! Yummy, and a great idea for you brides out there:)

After the ceremony and before the reception, we snuck out to snap a few shots on the Circle again. But this time, all of the pretty twinkle lights were on. So romantic!

And would you believe that the building in the background made a red heart out of their window lights?! That was so nice of them to do that for us! (ha, just kidding. But what better purpose for the heart than getting your wedding photos taken in front of it!!!)

Then we headed back in to start the par-tay! There are so many fun reception photos, but this topped them all. Look at every single person in this photo totally rockin' it out! Hilarious!

I posted so many photos already that you're just going to have to sit back and relax and see the rest of my favorites in the slideshow below. Jennie & CJ, you two are fabulous. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon. I cannot wait to hear what you think. You were awesome to work with and I wish you two all the best!
