nyc

Sorry for not blogging in a while, but I was stuck in NY for the past couple of days. And when I use the term "stuck," I don't mean that I didn't want to be there, because it's such a cool place. What I meant was that the flights I was scheduled to be on kept getting delayed and cancelled. The plan was to make a one-day/same-say trip to do some interviews, so I flew in on Thursday morning, and was supposed to return on Thursday evening (just in time for the first Colts pre-season game:). After several delays on Thursday evening, USAirways just decided to cancel the flight all together. The next available flight wasn't until 6pm on Friday. I completely missed the Colts game, but the really great thing about the flight being moved back a day was that I got to have lunch with my good friend Jess Zogaib. Jess and I played softball together at Miami University. We roomed together our junior and senior years. It was so good to see her and catch up on each other's lives. Thanks so much for lunch, Jess! It was great to see you!! So fortunately, after even more delays last night at the airport (3.5 hrs worth of delays), I made it home at midnight. Yea!

I was excited to travel to NYC and take pictures to share with you all. I JUST bought this new little digital camera (the canon SD1000 Elph), so I was stoked to test it out in the city. Well guess what...the battery went dead on me about 2 hrs after I landed, so I only have a few photos to share with you. For those of you looking to upgrade your digital point-and-shoot cameras, I highly recommend this bad boy. I think I spent $202 on it, and it rocks! Here's what it looks like:

Alright...for the several photos that I DID have a battery for. Here's a beauty shot from the plane:

I THINK these two were on the famous Park Avenue (i think)!

And me trying to be cool on the streets of NYC, but not being very successful:

These were shot this morning. Peyton was happy to see me! I am was even happier to see HER!

(Oh, Peyton told me to give her puggle cousin, Guploo-San, a shout out. He just had ACL surgery, so she cannot wait to play chase with him soon!)

And here's her senior portrait pose.
