snuggled.inn

Sorry to be gone for so long. I've just been really busy and haven't even had time to post new stuff to my blog. So I took last weekend off from shooting. I have not had a break in a while, but I'm ready to go for my shoots this weekend! During my time off, Simon and I headed south with some friends for a fun weekend getaway. We had the MOST awesome time!! We actually stayed in a beautiful cabin in Bloomington. It was WAY off the beaten path, up some dirt roads, and on top of a giant hill. It was SO much fun...I did not want to leave. Our cabin was named "Snuggled Inn." It was HARDLY roughing it, but it was the closest thing to camping that Tara, Meg, Robyn and I were willing to agree to. It was super nice. We all had our own bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor balconies, it had a fully furnished kitchen, a hot tub, a grill, a firepit, and 2 friendly dogs (Shadow and Sugar who kept watch outside at night. Ha!

We pretty much just hung out, talked, laughed, cooked, ate, slept, played cornhole, got in the hot tub and went boating. Yes, we went boating! We rented this THING called the "Party Toon," and basically it was a double-decker pontoon boat that had a slide that dropped into the water from the second level. It was a blast! I absolutely get disgusted with lake water (although I love the ocean), but even I went down the slide several times. All in all, it was a super weekend, and we're already planning our next visit to the sunggled inn.

If some of you are wondering where we found this gem of a cabin, just go to http://backtonaturecabins.com/. The cabins rock, they are clean, they are furnished, they are in the woods, they have everything you could possibly need...and they are CHEAP! Hope some of you get to enjoy it as well.

Now for the photos you've all been waiting on. I'll apologize in advance for the inside jokes relating to the photos below, but meg, T, ross, jon, robyn and simon, you hear me, right?!

As you can see, we're hardly roughing it. I even brought the kitchen aid mixer for mashed potatoes!

Our manly men on the third floor balcony. I think this is where Jon & Simon started to make strides...

Oh dear. The Bev Twins doing their cheer. I have a video of this, so if I can figure out how to embed videos into my blog, you'll be able to see what you're missing in this photo. Go team!

Jon the mom. He can ALWAYS be found in the kitchen.
