Saturday morning I started my journey up north to Muncie and traveled through some pretty iffy weather. It rained periodically and was extremely overcast. However, the farther north I got, the better it looked. Sure enough, we had some great photo weather for the roepke family shoot! It was so nice to finally meet Janet and her family. We had had this shoot scheduled for quite some time! Let me tell you about the kids--Eli and Sara. Eli is a character! He is SO smart and so animated. When I got home and looked through all of the shots of Eli, I was cracking up because in some he's smiling, but in the majority he's making some sort of funny face. Sara on the other hand started out a little more on the shy side, but warmed up by the time the sprinkler and bubbles came out!
Janet and Jeff did something for me that no one has ever done for me. I had no idea that they were doing this, but they were taking pictures of ME taking pictures of their kids! Janet emailed me Saturday after the shoot with the photos. I am so happy that I have these--thank you! I'll show them below.
Janet said that she loves black & white photos. I love this shot of the kids!
And how cute is THIS?! You can see that Eli is just disgusted to be getting kissed by his little sister:)
Ok. Here's the first shot of ME taking pics. This is my FAVORITE angle to shoot from. It looks odd standing on top of my subject, but it makes for some great portraits.
And the next two shots are the results from me standing on the rock above the kids. I love these shots of the kids laughing at their dad's joke:)
I LOVE this. It's so sweet!
Sprinkler time!
I am about to get run over by Eli here. HA!
This was early in the shoot when Eli was ALL ABOUT posing for me:)
And here's a little coaching from Janet behind my back
Taking a little break
Janet and Jeff--thanks so much for everything! I hope you enjoy your slideshow!!

These pictures of Sara and Eli are terrific. You really captured their personalities. I also like black and white mixed in. Janet D.
The other Janet and her bro Doug babysat for our kids many moons ago.
