vavia's.baptism!

Yesterday was Vavia's baptism! Vavia is the 4 month old daughter or Samia and Rich (Simon and Samia are cousins). We were headed out the door to make it to the 9am service, and I noticed I had a voicemail on my phone. Samia had called to say that the furnace in the sanctuary had gone out, therefore they had cancelled the 9am service. So, because they are such organized and considerate people, Rich and Samia invited the family over to their house for some breakfast before the 11am service since most people were already up and ready to go by 9am. Luckily, the 11am service was a GO (heat, baptism and ALL)!

Vavia is the cutest kid you will ever see. LOTS of dark hair and chubby little cheeks!! She didn't have on her fancy, white baptism dress at the house for fear of dirtying it. Here are some shots I took before her big show!

She ended up falling asleep before needing to put on the big white dress!

My FAVORITE shot of the day. I just love how Rich and Samia, the proud parents, have huge smiles on their face in the background as the preacher is carrying Vavia during her baptism!

AND....she's STILL sleeping! Ha! She slept through the entire thing! Oh well, Samia can show Vavia my blog someday to remind her that she was baptized!
