boston.marathon.expo&olympic.trials

We got up early this morning to catch the women's marathon olympic trials. I know you probably wonder how a 26.2 mile race can at all be exciting, but this one was. Magdalena Lewy Boulet led the entire race by over a minute up until mile 23.5. Deena Kastor, Bronze medalist at the Athens Olympics made up the one minute difference between her and Magdalena in just three and a half short miles between mile 20 and mile 23! Deena ran to an easy victory which is amazing! She also ran down past us in the crowd with the American flag draped around her! The top 3 from today's race get to compete in the Bejing Olympics!!

We also had to go to the Expo to pickup our race numbers and chips. I am getting a little nervous now, but a part of that nervousness is excitement! Tomorrow, we have to catch a bus at 6:45am, and then we are dropped off 26.2 miles west of boston in Hopkinton! Race starts at 10am! Try tracking me at www.bostonmarathon.com and searching by "Sangar."

Alright, off to eat some pasta and get my last dose of carbohydrates! Thanks for cheering me on!
