i.LOVE.laguna!

I am so in love with Laguna Beach! Simon and I passed through Laguna 2 years ago on another vacation. We were literally only there about 2 hours. However, we liked it so much that we decided to vacation here this time. After spending only 3-1/2 days, we have completely fallen in love. It is the most laid back, clean, friendly, hippest, cute, artsy, charming place to be. We wish that we could have stayed longer, but we are now in Vegas for WPPI.

Pictures cannot express the coolness of this place, nor did I take pictures of all the cool things. Here are just a few to show you what an amazing place it is...

One afternoon, we decided to drive up into the hills of Laguna. In just a short amount of time, you are so high up. The streets are so steep...it's a lot like San Fran.

Are you kidding me???!!! Driving up through the hills, we passed Laguna Beach High School. We actually saw kids walking to school...I was so in awe thinking, "do these kids even KNOW how good they have it?" I mean, they are walking to school in LAGUNA BEACH overlooking the PACIFIC OCEAN! I just wonder if they take it for granted.

Ok...so we totally found our dream home. This is EXACTLY the style that we like and the location that we like. This house would look silly in Indiana, but here in Cali, it totally fits in. This is technically the front of the house, but because it's built on such a steep cliff, the other side of the house is completely just glass overlooking the Pacific. It is for sale, so we found it online. Check out the pictures on this website. Our furniture would fit PERFECTLY in here, we wouldn't want to change ANYTHING, it's PERFECT....except for one minor thing. The PRICE TAG. The're asking a measly $3.2 million. Yeah, we can dream though!!!:)

Ok, see on the right side of the house (just to the right of the garage)? That's the front door. See all that glass? Yeah, that's the freakin' ocean (I'm drooling)...

Another reason why we love it here is because Laguna loves dogs! People take their dogs everywhere. In fact, Simon and I saw a guy leaving one night from a bar WITH HIS DOG! We were cracking up. And if that weren't hilarious enough, we proceeded to watch the guy catch a taxi and then throw his dog in the taxi. I LOVE LAGUNA!!! We have to bring Peyton with us next time!!!


As I mentioned, we're now in Vegas. I am having a blast at the convention. Last night, we saw LOVE...the cirque de soleil show performed to the original tracks of the Beatles songs. It was THE best performance I have ever seen. I just kept thinking how much my mom would have loved it. More to come on that later!!!
